    Denver Independent Comic & Art Expo (DINK) will create a fun, first-class expo emphasizing the independent spirit, cultural relevance, imagination, and community of comics, graphic novels, zines, art, publishers, and fans with a mission to promote and further the impact of their work on the world.     Inspired by Mortified Nation, our 12-year anniversary party featured folks reading aloud from their journals/diaries. Hosted by Share Denver.


  • November 23, 2014 – Cowtown Comics Fest
    The DZL joined other zinesters and comic artists, selling our wares.


  • November 2, 2013 – ReadCON at Farr Regional Library
    Zine-making workshop in Greeley, CO.

  • July 14, 2013 – Yard sale to benefit the DZL and DCHC
    Proceeds from the yard sale benefited the Denver Zine Library and Denver Community Health Collective, also featuring chair massage and a mini-zine making workshop.
  • June 20, 2013 – Punk Rock Karaoke
    Co-hosted with the Denver Community Health Collective.
  • April 1, 2013 – Inventory and Packing Party
    The 27 Social Center’s building has been sold! Volunteers gathered to help pack up the collection in preparation for our next adventure.
  • March 15, 2013 – Imogen Binnie’s book reading, Nevada
    On tour through Denver, Imogen Binnie gave a sneak-peek reading from her soon-to-be-released novel, Nevada.
  • March 13, 2013 – Zine-making workshop at Lowbrow

  • Zines were displayed, with a reading nook, through the month of January, with an opening on 1/4/13 and the debut of the zine vending machine, Xena!

  • Saturday, November 3 – Don’t Leave Your Friends Behind: Concrete Ways to Support Families In Social Justice Movements and Communities
    China Martens read from her book, Don’t Leave Your Friends Behind, and was joined by local readers. Featured a potluck and a puppet show.

    A benefit for the 27 Social Center, featuring Cider and Other Brews, Seasonal Dishes, Family-Friendly Entertainment, and more!

  • October 4, 2012 – Fly Away Zine Mobile in Denver
    The Fly Away Zine Mobile is a free lending library, self-publishing skill-sharer, and mini reading room that travels around North America, organizing/supporting events around literacy and self-publishing and hosting open library/reading hours.
